Oven-drying has revolutionized the drying of wood. The considerable time savings make drying much more profitable. The temperature used in oven-drying is higher than that in traditional drying. At temperatures over 100ˇăC the wood not only dries faster but also stands up to the drying better. Savings in time and energy are considerable, since the drying time can easily be shortened to 1/3, and often even to 1/5 of the time required by other techniques.
